Milo/Maya LisMilo (Maya) Lis is a Polish-American 4th term student from West Hartford, Connecticut. They are studying Drama, Music, and Dance, specifically performance and composition in all of three of those disciplines. Their work centers queerness, as they hope to create more works that are represent powerful communities that foster change in our society.
Currently in their disciplines, Milo is in this term's Faculty Production "H&G" as the Witch, and a co-leader of the Drama Collective. They were a recipient of the Lucille Lortel Fellowship and worked at Repertorio Español in Manhattan as a development and artistic intern during Summer of 2021. They put together the theater's application for the NEA, as well as unofficially judged the finalists for the The Miranda Family "Voces Lantix" National Playwriting Competition. In the Winter of 2021, they worked at Target Margin Theater in Sunset Park, Brooklyn as a general intern. Currently in dance, they are in two dance pieces that are planned to be performed at this term's Martha Hill Dance Concert. In music, they are taking composition classes and piano, as well as working on personal projects. In their free time, Milo enjoys arts and crafts, specifically jewelry-making, friendship bracelets, and painting. They love cooking for their friends (especially soups), spending time outside by hiking and exploring, and doing anything that is an extension of their disciplines.
