  • 3:00-4:00 pm 
    • Introduction to Bennington Drama: “Introduction of Bennington Drama” is an event specifically for getting to know and interact with the Bennington Drama Department! You’ll also be able to say hi to all of your fellow drama students! It will be hosted by the SEPC Drama Representatives Anna Rose King ‘23 and Thomas Finegar ‘22. You'll get a chance to get to learn a bit about all of the faculty as well as ask questions about VAPA, shows, classes, and independent projects!! It'll also be a butt load of fun!

    • SEPC Presents: Public Action at Bennington (APA): Join this Live Q & A session with CAPA director Susan Sgorbati and SEPC (Student Educational Policies Committee) student representatives Ethan Koss-Smith ‘21 and Mady Wilson ‘22 to learn more about the Center for the Advancement of Public Action at Bennington College.

    • Introduction to Music at Bennington: This live Zoom session - hosted by SEPC (Student Educational Policies Committee) student representatives Celina Einem ‘22 and Maddy Wood ‘22 - is for prospective music students at Bennington and for anyone who wants to learn more about the music department of Bennington. Get acquainted with the work of current music students and faculty, learn how we've been producing our work during the COVID-19 pandemic, and get all your questions answered by the faculty and student representatives.

Wednesday, August 26 
  • 3:00 - 4:00 pm
    • Creative Writing Workshop - Let’s Write Together!: Join SEPC (Student Educational Policies Committee) student literature representatives Katharine Ruegger ‘21 and Sarah Lore ‘23 for this student-led creative writing workshop to work on a series of creative writing prompts alongside classmates, friends, and strangers at Bennington. If you’d like to, there will be time at the end of the session to share, or you can send your writing to sarahlore@bennington.edu to be posted on the Literature at Bennington Facebook page.

    • Student Work in Literature: A Night of Readings: Join this live gathering for literature readings from various students and faculty.

    • Introduction to Visual Arts at Bennington: Join this live Zoom Q & A session with SEPC (Student Educational Policies Committee) student representatives Phoebe van Essche ‘21 and Reshavan Naicker ‘22. We will be covering all things Visual Arts; come talk about  different spaces in VAPA, access to supplies and materials, online art classes, and new measures for social distancing. . They will also be discussing what to expect from a Visual Arts class, guidelines for critique, and levels of experience needed for classes. Stop by to check in and meet some new peers, learn what makes VA at Bennington, and answer any questions you may have about making art on campus!

    • Bringing Science and Mathematics to Bennington: Join our science undergraduates, Alex Luttery ‘21, Sierra Fales ‘21 and Suman Sigdel ‘23 as they share their fascinating research and work experience at Bennington live via Zoom.  Learn about modelling super-luminous supernovae using the TARDIS, analyzing bacterial metabolisms to develop petrochemical precursor producing pathways and using neural networks, used for generating deepfakes, to produce fake text.​
