Lua Piovano-Marcotte - Society, Culture, & Thought
Lua is a junior from Vermont studying sociology. Her work examines how social factors such as race, class, gender, sexuality, etc. function and shape lived experiences in the rural US. She is specifically interested in topics of disability justice and information access, and is a lifelong devotee of libraries. She also studies Italian language and dabbles in studying theater and literature.
Lua is also a co-organizer of Bennington's Chronically Ill and Disabled Student Union. In her free time she enjoys crocheting, reading books and Wikipedia articles, and playing tabletop and video games.
